NHL Injuries: Red Wings, Panthers, Wild, Islanders, Rangers, Senators, Flyers Sharks, and Leafs

NHL News

Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin is a game-time decision for tonight’s game.

The Florida Panthers will be without defenseman Niko Mikkola for four to six weeks due to an injury that does not require surgery. Fellow defenseman Uvis Balinskis also faces a four-to-six-week recovery period after sustaining a fracture.

Panthers forward Mackie Samoskevich is expected to miss seven to ten days with a laceration.

Sam Reinhart is scheduled for further testing tomorrow.

Regarding Brad Marchand, tests have been completed, and a rehabilitation strategy is anticipated within the next ten days.

Panthers forward Anton Lundell is considered day-to-day. While initial assessments suggest no major issues, he is not yet ready to return to the ice and is undergoing further evaluation to ensure a swift recovery.

NHL Rumors: Kings, Stars, Hurricanes, and Avalanche

Minnesota Wild forwards Kirill Kaprizov, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Marcus Foligno all participated in practice yesterday.

New York Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock is questionable for tonight’s game due to a lower-body injury.

New York Rangers coach Mike Sullivan indicated it would be a surprise if Matt Rempe plays again this season, though he hasn’t been officially ruled out.

Ottawa Senators defensemen Thomas Chabot (right arm) and Lassi Thomson (lower-body) both exited last night’s game prematurely. Senators coach Travis Green confirmed that both Chabot and Thomson are expected to be sidelined “for a while.”

This leaves the Senators significantly depleted on defense, missing five players—Jake Sanderson, Thomas Chabot, Nick Jensen, Dennis Gilbert, and Lassi Thomson—for tonight’s game against the Red Wings. Coach Travis Green had previously stated that defenseman Jake Sanderson was expected to miss seven to ten days.

Philadelphia Flyers Sean Couturier, Denver Barkey, and Luke Glendening participated in yesterday’s optional skate and are all listed as day-to-day.

San Jose Sharks forwards Tyler Toffoli and Ty Dellandrea, along with defenseman Vincent Desharnais, were all on the ice for practice. Notably, Dellandrea transitioned out of his no-contact jersey.

Sharks forward Ryan Reaves did not practice yesterday. Goaltender Yaroslav Askarov and forward Igor Chernyshov, however, were present at practice.

NHL Rumors: Capitals and Red Wings

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson is cleared to play tonight, despite leaving yesterday’s practice early.

Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is available to play tonight, though the starting goaltender has yet to be announced.
