Moustapha Fall had sustained a severe knee injury during the third game of last season’s Greek Championship playoff finals against Panathinaikos.
While the international player’s full return to practice is a positive step, it doesn’t guarantee significant playing time immediately. Olympiacos already boasts three other centers: Nikola Milutinov, Donta Hall, and Tyrique Jones, leading to a competitive situation in the squad.
“For a few days now, he’s been training regularly with the team, especially in 5-on-5 drills. Gradually, he just needs to regain his form to become one of the players we will use. How, under what conditions, within what organization, on what day, I don’t really know,” commented coach Giorgos Bartzokas.
Olympiacos is set to face Valencia away this Tuesday for the 33rd round of the EuroLeague. The Greek team currently holds second place in the standings with a record of 22 wins and 11 losses.
