Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, is reportedly close to securing a deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. Mourinho`s club has submitted an offer of £15 million to United, aiming to bring Sancho`s difficult spell at Old Trafford to an end.

The Istanbul-based club is also understood to be prepared to meet Sancho`s substantial wage demands, which are rumoured to be around £10 million per season.
The 25-year-old recently returned to Manchester United following the conclusion of his loan period at Borussia Dortmund, which he joined in January 2024. This follows a largely unsuccessful four-year stint at Old Trafford since his £73 million transfer from Dortmund in 2021.
Sancho, who came through Manchester City`s youth ranks before his four seasons in the Bundesliga, had a widely publicised disagreement with former United manager Erik ten Hag. He publicly stated that Ten Hag had made him a “scapegoat” before his eventual loan move back to Dortmund.
Italian club Juventus has also reportedly shown interest, possibly exploring a swap deal. However, Manchester United are prioritising a cash sale, which would assist with financial fair play (PSR) regulations. Sancho`s current `book value` for the upcoming season is £15 million, making a direct transfer fee of this amount a favourable option for the club.
Fenerbahce, who are looking to challenge rivals Galatasaray for the Turkish league title, have emerged as the strongest contenders for Sancho`s signature. Jose Mourinho reportedly believes the former England international has the potential to be a significant game-changer for his team.

Sancho`s high salary, reported to be £300,000 per week, has been a barrier for many interested clubs. However, Turkey`s more advantageous tax system would potentially allow the player to maintain a similar net income compared to his earnings at United.
