Jermaine Pennant’s former OnlyFans model partner was overwhelmed with messages from a delusional stalker who believed they had a romantic connection.
Married man, Mark Inkster, spent £30,000 on Alice Goodwin’s OnlyFans account and sent flowers and Valentine’s Day cards to her home.
The obsessed 43-year-old also sent over 11,000 messages expressing his love during the two-year stalking ordeal.
Alice, who was married to former Liverpool and Arsenal player Pennant, was compelled to take a three-month break from work and enhance her home security.
Inkster avoided imprisonment, receiving a 12-month suspended sentence for two years after admitting to stalking.
Judge Philip Head stated, “Over two and a half years, you developed an obsession with your victim across two platforms – OnlyFans and Babestation. You subscribed and exchanged messages, which were highly sexual and flirtatious.”
“Your actions clearly had a significant impact on her health and professional life. She had to take three months off work and experienced considerable anxiety.”
Nottingham Crown Court heard that Inkster’s obsession with Alice, who appeared on Celebs Go Dating, began after he subscribed to her OnlyFans account.
He further spent money on private messages and videos with her, totaling £30,000 between August 2021 and January 2022.
Inkster contacted Alice daily, requesting personal details and purchasing tickets for events she attended.
He sent Birthday and Christmas cards to her residence and regularly watched the model on the TV show Babestation.
The delusional stalker messaged Alice, saying: “As I told you, Alice, nothing can stop my love for you because you are my twin flame.”
He also contacted her daughter on social media, telling Alice: “I can imagine your reaction if I showed up at your door.”
Upon arrest, Inkster provided a prepared statement claiming his messages contained “no threats.”
However, in her victim impact statement, Alice stated: “This has significantly affected me, and I feel extremely unsafe.
“I am considering moving due to the trauma. He sent 50 messages daily declaring his undying love.”
In addition to the suspended sentence, Inkster was ordered to perform 140 hours of unpaid work and attend 40 rehabilitation sessions.
He also received a five-year restraining order and was instructed to pay £1,000 in costs.
Alice married Pennant in May 2014 after his separation from the mother of his one-year-old child.
They separated in 2020 after appearing on The Jeremy Kyle Show.
Pennant’s career began at Notts County before joining Arsenal in 1999 at age 15.
He remained at the club for six years, including periods at Watford, before transferring to Birmingham.
The winger signed with Liverpool in 2006 for £6.7 million and played in the team’s 2007 Champions League final against Milan.
Despite being named Man of the Match, Pennant never received a senior call-up for England.
After leaving Liverpool in 2009, he played for several teams, including Stoke City and Wigan, before retiring from professional football.
