McGregor plans to run for president of Ireland

MMA News

Conor McGregor, the renowned Irish mixed martial arts fighter, has officially stated his ambition to become the President of Ireland. This announcement was highlighted by McGregor wearing a `Make Ireland Great Again` hat, a gift he received during a visit to the White House.

This declaration follows closely after former U.S. President Donald Trump publicly praised McGregor as his `favorite Irishman` during their meeting at the Oval Office just three days prior.

In a post on Instagram, McGregor, aged 36, advocated for the presidential election to be scheduled before November 11th of this year. He also reiterated his opposition to the EU migration pact.

McGregor stated, `The next presidential election must occur before November 11, 2025. Who else but me is capable of challenging the current government? Any other potential candidate will be unable to effectively oppose them. However, I will.`

He continued, `Ireland, the decision rests with you, and it`s straightforward. Vote for me for president, and together, we will rescue Ireland!` – as written by Conor McGregor.

It is worth noting that McGregor has not competed in the octagon since July 2021, when he faced a defeat against Dustin Poirier.
