The two Premier League teams, both experiencing challenging seasons, were scheduled to compete tonight at the San Mames Stadium, hoping to salvage their campaigns.

One Tottenham fan was filmed kicking a football towards a group of United supporters.

Someone in the opposing crowd kicked it back, leading to a verbal dispute between the two groups.

This particular incident did not escalate into further conflict.

However, a larger brawl had broken out in the area approximately 24 hours before the kick-off.

Individuals identified as hooligans were filmed fighting and throwing objects at each other on Fermín Calbetón Street, prompting local authorities to intervene.

Witnesses reported that the fight started when two large groups of supporters began shouting and exchanging insults.

The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, with fans from both clubs throwing whatever they could find, including drinks and bins.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and several individuals received medical treatment there.

However, no one required transport to the hospital.
