On May 11, Della Maddalena claimed the welterweight title by defeating Belal Muhammad via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 315, which took place in Montreal, Canada.
Responding to this outcome on X, Makhachev posted his clear ambition: “It’s time to become a double champion! InshaAllah! Let’s go!”
This declaration aligns with Makhachev`s previous statements, where he indicated that his decision regarding his next opponent or division in the UFC would be influenced by the result of the Muhammad vs. Della Maddalena bout.
