Liverpool and Everton reportedly tried to reschedule their upcoming Merseyside Derby, set for next Wednesday, April 2nd.

Both clubs reportedly wanted to move the game 24 hours earlier, primarily to accommodate Arsenal`s schedule.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, both Liverpool and Everton believed there were advantages to playing the televised match on Tuesday.
This is because Arsenal is scheduled to play Fulham on Tuesday evening before facing Everton in the Saturday lunchtime game.
Moving the derby would have given Arsenal more time to rest and prepare for their match at Goodison Park.
Given Arsenal`s position as Liverpool`s main contender for the title, Liverpool and their manager, Arne Slot, were open to the derby being moved.
However, the Premier League rejected the request.
League officials were reportedly firm in their decision because the original Wednesday date does not force either club to play two matches within 60 hours, which is the minimum allowed time between games.
Liverpool currently tops the Premier League table, holding a 12-point lead over Arsenal with nine games remaining.
Meanwhile, Everton is currently in 14th place, sitting comfortably above the relegation zone.
In their previous encounter, Everton managed a dramatic 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Goodison Park last month, with James Tarkowski scoring a late equalizer.
