The worst-case scenario unfolded for Le Mans. While they secured a decisive 102-92 home victory against Hapoël Holon this Wednesday, MSB was ultimately eliminated from the Basketball Champions League. Their fate was sealed following Vilnius’s 81-90 triumph over Galatasaray.
Despite an excellent performance from 18-year-old Bastien Grasshoff, who co-led the team with 17 points, Le Mans’ European journey concludes just short of the quarterfinals. This elimination, however, doesn’t diminish what has been a strong season for the club. They will have another significant opportunity to claim silverware on April 25, when they face Monaco in the French Cup final.
