Klay Thompson`s recent vacation to the Bahamas resulted in the typical offseason social media photo collection from an NBA player. However, unlike others, Thompson appeared to subtly reveal his relationship with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Speculation about the connection between the Dallas Mavericks guard and the Grammy-winning artist began after the rapper, whose birth name is Megan Pete, shared a photo on Instagram last Thursday. Fans noticed someone resembling Thompson lying in the background as Pete posed by a pool.
Thompson then seemingly addressed the rumors himself with his own Instagram post on Saturday. One image featured the four-time NBA champion standing alongside someone, presumed to be Pete, who was facing away from the camera. Another photo showed him holding hands with someone, also believed to be Pete.
The post quickly went viral, attracting numerous comments. Dwight Howard responded with three fire emojis, while Thompson`s former Golden State Warriors teammate Quinn Cook commented, `There he gooooooo.` Kevin Durant simply wrote: `THAT BOY.`
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ty Jerome remarked: `Woah hard launch.` Thompson replied: `I`m all gas no brakes Jerome,` effectively confirming what many saw as the start of summer`s most unexpected pairing.
Pete was previously reported to be in a relationship with Boston Celtics forward Torrey Craig last year.
Thompson recently completed his first season with the Dallas Mavericks, where he averaged 14 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.
