According to former UFC and ONE FC champion Demetrius Johnson, a potential bout between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall would represent a significant challenge and risk for the current heavyweight king.
“For Jones, this is a very big risk,” Johnson stated. “Tom is younger, he is athletic, he has a strong punch, and he creates problems. Tom is very fast. If he defeats Jones, he will become the biggest star.”
Johnson highlighted Aspinall`s youth, athleticism, powerful striking, and speed as key factors that make him a difficult opponent for Jones. He also noted that a victory over a fighter of Jones`s caliber would catapult Aspinall to superstardom.
