Brazilian fighter Johnny Walker is reportedly transitioning to the heavyweight division for his upcoming UFC bout.
According to MMA journalist Alexander Behunin, Walker is slated to face No. 10 ranked heavyweight Ante Delija at UFC Belgrade, scheduled for August 1st at the Belgrade Arena in Serbia. Both fighters have reportedly given verbal agreement to the matchup, with official contracts still pending.
Walker’s most recent appearance was a split-decision loss to Dominick Reyes at UFC 327 earlier this month. Prior to that, he secured a knockout victory over Mingyang Zhang at UFC Shanghai in August 2025. The 34-year-old Walker has been a fixture in the UFC’s light heavyweight division since joining in November 2018, holding a professional record of 8 wins and 7 losses within the promotion, with notable victories against Khalil Rountree Jr., Anthony Smith, and Paul Craig.
Ante Delija’s last fight was a unanimous decision defeat to Serghei Spivac at UFC Houston in February. The former PFL champion had a successful Octagon debut in September 2025 at UFC Paris with a first-round knockout of Marcin Tybura, but his subsequent fight in November saw him stopped by Waldo Cortes-Acosta.
“Walking Trouble,” as Walker is known, boasts a professional record of 26 wins and 8 losses, with a significant number of his victories coming by way of stoppage against opponents such as Renan Ferreira, Matheus Scheffel, and Yorgan De Castro.
