Former UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria recently offered his perspective on Paddy Pimblett`s victory against Michael Chandler.
Speaking on Joe Rogan`s podcast, Topuria acknowledged Pimblett`s performance in the fight, stating, “He did a great job. He did what he`s supposed to do.” However, Topuria was notably critical of Chandler, giving a straightforward assessment. “I`ll be honest,” Topuria said, “Chandler has never been an outstanding fighter. He`s average.” Topuria further questioned Chandler`s significant wins in the UFC, pointing specifically to his victories over Dan Hooker and a “nearly 40-year-old” Tony Ferguson as examples.
