Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo is considering retiring from mixed martial arts after sustaining an injury in his recent bout against Song Yadong.
Cejudo explained, “Fortunately, the double vision only occurs when I lie down or look downwards, but it persisted for about five days after the fight. It wasn`t complete blindness, but I was seeing double images. I never thought of MMA as particularly dangerous until now. I`ve discussed it with my wife, and if everything checks out medically, my next fight could very well be my last. Just one more fight and that`s it. My priority is to be present and healthy for my children. I don`t want to risk losing my eyesight.”
