Maxime Gillot, founder of Lemvi SA – a Lausanne-based company specializing in investment and asset management, and holding a Master’s degree in Euroleague sport management – has announced the creation of HelvetX. This new entity is dedicated to strategic investments within the premium basketball sector.
Gillot stated that ASVEL was a natural and compelling choice for investment, given its proximity to Lausanne, shared francophone culture, and his profound admiration for the work accomplished by Tony Parker and Gaëtan Muller at the club.
HelvetX will secure a representative position on the supervisory board of the Villeurbanne-based club. The objective is to actively and positively contribute to key decisions and to foster long-term value creation for the club, its players, and its dedicated supporters, driven by a very long-term vision.
Maxime Gillot believes that the prospective NBA European league is poised to fundamentally reshape the landscape of European basketball. He emphasized, “Few people truly grasp the profound impact this could have. We have strategically positioned ourselves alongside a historic club, embracing a long-term vision, as we are convinced that European basketball is entering a decisive phase of its economic development.”
