Harry Maguire took some time away from his issues at Manchester United by attending a match of his former club, Sheffield United.
Sheffield United secured their spot in the play-off final, having held a 3-0 advantage over Bristol City from the first leg and winning the tie 6-0 on aggregate at Bramall Lane.
Maguire returned to his roots for some needed relaxation and to support his beloved childhood club.
The United player seemed in good spirits while heading towards the director`s box, where Chris Kamara was also present.
The defender seized the opportunity to unwind after playing the final 40 minutes of United`s disappointing 2-0 loss to West Ham.
Sunday was another difficult day for Maguire, as United suffered their 17th Premier League defeat of the season, dropping to 16th place in the table.
Maguire was initially rested and on the bench for the West Ham match, likely ahead of United`s Europa League final against Tottenham next Wednesday.
However, the 32-year-old was brought on to replace Leny Yoro, who left the field in tears due to a foot injury.
Shortly after Maguire entered the game, Jarrod Bowen doubled West Ham`s lead, with Mohammed Kudus easily getting past him before setting up Aaron Wan-Bissaka`s assist.
The England international has had a mixed season personally, despite scoring crucial late goals for United, including a memorable last-minute header in the comeback against Lyon.
However, Thursday`s Europa League semi-final second leg at Old Trafford highlighted that Maguire is still susceptible to defensive errors, as his inaccurate pass led to Athletic Bilbao taking a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Maguire progressed through Sheffield United`s youth system and joined the senior team when the club was relegated to League One in 2011.
As an 18-year-old, he was quickly tested against tough, physical forwards and performed well.
Maguire made over 100 appearances for the Blades before turning 20.
League One served as a crucial stepping stone, leading him to the Premier League with Hull City, then Leicester City, and ultimately Manchester United.
