Harry Kane is keenly hoping for his former club, Tottenham, to clinch a European trophy, an outcome he believes would perfectly complement his own successful season.
The captain of the England squad recently lifted his first piece of major professional silverware, the Bundesliga title, contributing significantly by scoring the opening goal in Bayern Munich`s 2-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Kane made history by becoming the first player in Bundesliga history to score 25 goals in their first season and was promptly drenched in beer during the joyous post-match celebrations.
However, despite his own triumph, Kane revealed his support for his old team, expressing his hope that they defeat Manchester United in the Europa League final, scheduled for May 21st in Bilbao.
Kane, who transferred to Bayern from Spurs for £104m in 2023, acknowledged Tottenham`s difficult campaign, stating, “They`ve clearly faced challenges this season, there`s no denying that. However, reaching the Europa League final is a significant accomplishment. It took considerable effort to overcome the teams they faced, so they deserve full credit.”
He added, “I`ll be watching and hoping they secure the win. This could turn out to be a positive month for many Spurs supporters, as many have contacted me expressing happiness about me winning this title. Naturally, I believe we would all be delighted to see Spurs win their final.”

Heading into Bayern`s last game of the season against Hoffenheim, Kane has accumulated an impressive tally of 81 goals in 90 appearances for the club.
The striker further admitted to experiencing considerable pressure due to his previous inability to secure a major career title.
He stated, “This has been a long time coming. Winning my first championship feels incredible, and it`s also a monumental moment for the club, so I intend to savor it fully. I was focused on securing the win and a positive result so we could truly enjoy the moment, which is what happened.”
“Holding that trophy in my hands feels incredibly special, and I`ll certainly be enjoying the next few weeks.”
“It simply feels amazing. It was a heavy burden, so it`s wonderful to have it removed, and now we can celebrate. We sense this is the beginning of something we can truly develop further, leading directly into the Club World Cup.”
“This means more than any individual award. It`s widely known that a team trophy was something missing from my career achievements. I`ve received many individual honors and came close to winning team titles multiple times, but it never quite happened. Therefore, this feeling is definitely superior.”

“My career has had many positive moments even without winning major trophies. Naturally, there have also been sad and difficult times. Resilience is a quality I`ve needed throughout my career, and winning this title doesn`t fundamentally change me as a player. While I now have a team trophy, my work ethic remains the same. I will continue to push myself to see how much better I can get and what I can achieve.”
Kane willingly participated in Bayern`s customary celebration ritual, where players drench each other with beer after securing a title.
He commented, “It was freezing. I was really cold once I got soaked. And after my wife joined me, she kept her distance because I reeked of beer.”

“However, these are the moments I`ve been anticipating. I knew when I came here that this is how they celebrate, how we celebrate. Of course, it didn`t happen last year, but now having this – the videos, the photos, the memories – these are things nobody can ever take away from you.”
