Gauff Teams Up With Miu Miu and New Balance for Exclusive Capsule Collection

Sports News

World No. 4 Coco Gauff is set to showcase high-fashion looks both on and off the court this spring and summer, thanks to a collaboration between her sponsor New Balance and the designer house Miu Miu.

The 2023 US Open winner recently unveiled a new capsule collection developed with both brands. This collection is part of New Balance`s existing partnership with the luxury Italian fashion label Miu Miu, established in 1993 by Miuccia Prada. While Gauff has previously worn Miu Miu off the court, including custom dresses for the Oscars and a striking gold gown for her April 2024 Vogue cover, this new line specifically targets sport and street style. Gauff will wear pieces from the collection at certain Hologic WTA Tour events.

She plans to debut three distinct, high-fashion outfits at three different tournaments: the upcoming Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome, followed by events in Berlin in June and Cincinnati in August. Each match kit will feature colors inspired by or linked to the respective tournament.

For the clay courts in Rome, Gauff will wear a “classically elegant” combination of navy and white with red details. She will then switch to green and white with light blue accents for the grass courts in Berlin. Returning to the US for the Cincinnati tournament, which she won previously, her look will combine royal blue with red accents.

Each ensemble will be completed with coordinating silk zip-front hoodies and track pants. Gauff will also wear a custom, co-branded version of her signature shoe, the Coco CG2, specially designed by New Balance and Miu Miu.

“I showed them what silhouettes I like, and we worked around that as a starting point,” Gauff, who has partnered with New Balance since 2018, told Vogue exclusively for the launch. “We were like, `What can we do in tennis that has either never been done or been done very few times?`”

The full New Balance x Miu Miu collection featuring Coco Gauff will be available for a limited time starting September 10th, shortly after the US Open concludes.
