UFC lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot from Poland has shared his insights on a hypothetical matchup between the current lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, and former featherweight titleholder, Ilia Topuria.
Gamrot stated, “Topuria is too small for Makhachev, who is significantly larger. I don`t believe Topuria stands a chance. Islam is proficient in all areas of MMA, and being undersized against him is a major disadvantage, practically eliminating any possibility of victory.” This quote was reported by Bloody Elbow.
It`s worth noting that Topuria previously claimed that UFC management has guaranteed him a fight against Makhachev.
