The French women’s national basketball team, ranked second in the FIBA standings and holding a seeded position, has received a favorable draw for the upcoming EuroBasket 2027 qualifiers. Their qualification campaign will see them compete against Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Luxembourg in their designated group.
To secure their place in the prestigious tournament, the “Bleues” must finish among the top two teams within their qualification group. This objective appears entirely achievable for the French squad, especially following their dominant performance at the Villeurbanne qualification tournament recently.
Following their participation in this summer’s World Cup, the EuroBasket 2027 qualification matches are scheduled to take place during the international windows of November 2026 and February 2027.
It is notable that the French team boasts a strong and consistent presence in European basketball, having not missed the EuroBasket since 1997.
