Patrice Evra, the former defender for Manchester United and the French national team, is embarking on a new venture in mixed martial arts. The veteran footballer is scheduled to make his professional MMA debut on May 3rd in Paris as part of a PFL Europe tournament. At this time, the name of the opponent he will face has not been disclosed.
Evra confirmed his transition and upcoming fight via social media. He stated: “I am officially preparing for my first fight at the PFL Europe tournament.” He also revealed that organizers are tasked with finding his opponent, and when asked who he would like to challenge, he humorously suggested, “Luis Suarez. I’m ready to pay myself, even if he bites me.”
