Despite a somewhat subdued reaction from British fans at recent NBA games in London, the UK capital continues to be a highly sought-after destination for American league executives envisioning a European expansion. Among the interested investors is Marshall Glickman.
As a former CEO of the Euroleague and an executive with the Portland Trail Blazers, Glickman brings significant experience in basketball institutions. The deadline for financial bids for the 12 permanent franchises is rapidly approaching on March 31st. The competition is intense, with RedBird Capital, owners of AC Milan football club, also reportedly aiming to secure the NBA franchise in England.
