The highly anticipated EuroBasket 2025 tournament kicks off on August 27th, bringing together 24 national teams to contend for the prestigious European championship title.
This edition marks the return of the 24-team format since Spain`s victory over France in the 2022 final. The competition structure divides the participating nations into four groups of six. The top four teams from each group will progress to a 16-team single-elimination knockout stage. Group phase matches will be hosted across Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland, with the decisive knockout rounds taking place exclusively in Riga, Latvia.
The 2025 roster boasts an impressive lineup of NBA talent, featuring prominent All-Stars and key role players. Among the notable participants are Luka Doncic for Slovenia, Nikola Jokic representing Serbia, Giannis Antetokounmpo leading Greece, Kristaps Porzingis for host nation Latvia, Lauri Markkanen with Finland, and Franz Wagner playing for Germany.
The championship will culminate on September 15th, concluding with the third-place playoff and the grand final in Riga, just two weeks prior to the commencement of NBA training camps.
For Australian viewers, all games will be broadcast on ESPN via Disney+.
