Dustin Poirier on Holloway Fight: “I’m ready for the fact that I might need stitches”

MMA News

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier shared his thoughts on his upcoming bout against former lower division titleholder Max Holloway.

This fight, scheduled for July 20th at UFC 318 in New Orleans, USA, is anticipated to be the final appearance for `The Diamond` in his career.

Poirier expressed a strong desire to fully embrace the moment. “I really want to enjoy the moment, to be present,” he stated. “This will be my last chance to feel all these emotions: the pre-fight nerves, the walk to the octagon. It won`t happen again. So I want to deliver a memorable performance, to go out on a high note. Let`s aim for Fight of the Year. And I`m prepared for the possibility of needing stitches,” ESPN quoted Dustin Poirier as saying.
