Dominique Malonga Out for Remainder of World Cup Qualifiers

Sports News

Medical examinations have confirmed that Dominique Malonga sustained a concussion, preventing her from immediate physical activity. Consequently, the French national team’s forward will miss the rest of the World Cup Qualification Tournament, which runs until March 17 at the Astroballe in Villeurbanne.

Before her injury, Dominique Malonga had averaged 14.5 points and 6 rebounds in two matches. She also notably achieved the first-ever dunk in the history of the French women’s national team during a game against the Philippines.

Malonga is the second starting center to be ruled out, following Iliana Rupert, who was previously replaced by Alexia Chartereau.
