UFC featherweight contender Diego Lopes recently provided insight into his ongoing negotiations for his next appearance inside the octagon.
Lopes explained, “After my last fight, the UFC contacted me to inquire about my health. I shared the doctor`s recommendations and informed them I would be prepared to compete again by September.”
Demonstrating his eagerness, Lopes revealed the specific opponents he was offered and readily accepted:
“I was offered Aaron Pico. I said `yes`. Two days later I was offered Jean Silva, I said `yes`. When the UFC relocated the event to San Antonio, I was offered Yair Rodriguez, I said `yes`. I even suggested fighting Mowsar [Evloev] or Lerone [Murphy].”
He concluded by stressing his willingness to take on any challenge, adding, “If you have any doubts, just ask Dana White if I have ever refused a fight,” a statement he shared on social media platform X.
