David Holston Delivers Buzzer-Beater Win for JDA Dijon!

David Holston celebrating a game-winning shot

Despite the absence of Tariq Owens and Robin Ducoté, JDA Dijon relied on a strong starting five featuring David Holston, Gregor Hrovat, Kregor Hermet, Quentin Losser, and Jordan Barnett. It was the American point guard who proved particularly decisive. He scored 12 of his 23 points—along with 8 assists—in just three crucial minutes, challenging opponents under the basket to sink the game-winning shot at the buzzer.

Coach Laurent Legname remarked: “True to his legend, David twice sealed the game, first with a three-pointer and then with a drive. I’ve known him for so long, and he has accomplished so many extraordinary things that nothing he does surprises me anymore. He is simply a legend.”

Meanwhile, Strasbourg’s coach Janis Gailitis had harsh words for William Pfister:

“Holston did a great job at the end because he’s a clutch player, and Marcus (Keene) is also clutch. But there are players who need to wake up, like (William) Pfister. Honestly, he shows me no respect. He’s been in this league for years. I saw (Gregor) Hrovat’s jersey full of blood (victim of a nosebleed after an elbow from Marcus Keene), but I’ve never seen Pfister’s jersey with blood on it.”
