Coleen Rooney is now earning significantly more than her husband, former England footballer Wayne Rooney, following a highly profitable year for her business ventures, which generated £1.3 million in profit.
According to recent financial reports for her company, CWR 2021, her income from endorsements and media appearances more than tripled within a single year.

Coleen, aged 39 and runner-up on “I`m A Celebrity…”, released the accounts for the year ending September 2024 yesterday. These figures revealed her rapidly growing business held £580,000 in cash.
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney, also 39 and a former England captain, was reportedly earning around £500,000 as the manager of Plymouth Argyle before his departure from the club in December.
In contrast to Coleen`s current success, the former Manchester United star`s peak earnings were reported to be £300,000 per week back in 2014.
Coleen becoming the primary earner for the family is set to be featured in an upcoming Disney+ documentary series titled “The Rooneys”.
Disney+ confirmed yesterday that the series will show Coleen managing her business alongside Wayne handling school runs for their four sons.
A financial analyst commented on the figures, stating: “These earnings demonstrate that Coleen was already out-earning Wayne even before her participation in `I`m A Celebrity…`”
“Following her popular appearance on the reality show, her income is now expected to increase significantly.”
“The heightened public interest in Coleen after her successful run on the show likely played a key role in securing the Disney+ documentary deal.”
“Earning substantial amounts from a major global streaming service, combined with her ITV earnings, will undoubtedly boost the Rooney family`s finances even more.”
Coleen received a substantial fee for appearing on “I`m A Celebrity…” last autumn, where she finished as runner-up to McFly singer Danny Jones.
In recent months, she has continued to generate income through various endorsement deals, such as promoting the health supplement brand Applied Nutrition.
Coleen has maintained a high public profile since the 2023 “Wagatha Christie” libel case initiated by Rebekah Vardy.
The case stemmed from Coleen`s accusation that Rebekah`s Instagram account was the source of leaks from her private posts.
A judge ultimately dismissed Rebekah`s libel claim, finding that Coleen`s statements were largely true.
This legal battle was documented in a three-part series on Disney+, “Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story,” which included exclusive access to Coleen.
Wayne, on the other hand, has recently transitioned into football punditry after a challenging period in management.
His recent managerial career included spells at Derby County and Birmingham City, following a brief playing return at DC United in the US, culminating in his less successful tenure at Plymouth.
However, the changing financial dynamics for the Rooney family have generated significant interest from documentary producers, proving to be a lucrative avenue for them.
The same production team, Lorton Productions, responsible for the 2022 Prime Video biopic “Rooney,” is also producing the new Disney+ series.
