Carlos Ulberg achieved a monumental victory, capturing his first world title at UFC 327 by knocking out Jiri Procházka, all while fighting on one leg.
From the outset, Procházka targeted Ulberg’s lead leg, a strategic move that appeared to pay off as Ulberg sustained an apparent leg injury early in the bout. Struggling to bear weight, Ulberg found himself pressured by Procházka, who encouraged him to engage in a standing exchange.
However, this proved to be Procházka’s undoing. Ulberg’s precise striking proved decisive when he landed a powerful right hand that sent the former champion to the mat. Ulberg swiftly followed up, unleashing a barrage of strikes on the downed Procházka.
Despite Procházka’s desperate attempts to defend and escape, he was eventually rendered unconscious, leading to the fight’s stoppage.
Official Result: Carlos Ulberg defeated Jiri Procházka via KO (strikes) at 3:45 of Round 1, becoming the undisputed UFC light heavyweight champion.
