The Cholet Mondial Basket, an event that has established itself as a global benchmark, was held at La Meilleraie over the Easter weekend. In its 42nd edition, the Canadian program Polaris emerged victorious, defeating the Montenegrin team Podgorica in a closely contested final on Monday, with a score of 83-80.
Regarding French clubs, their final results were less favorable than in previous editions. Following Paris Basketball’s victory in 2025, France had no representatives in this year’s final, as both Le Mans and Roanne were eliminated during the semifinals.
Despite the French clubs’ early exit, Le Mans’ forward Sami Bamé distinguished himself by being named the competition’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), achieving an impressive average evaluation of 20.6.
