In a comical error before their Champions League quarter-final against PSG, Aston Villa`s DJ mistakenly played the Europa League anthem.
Players and fans at Villa Park were expecting the iconic Champions League anthem before the crucial second leg match.

Instead, they were surprised to hear the familiar tune of the Europa League, leading to visible confusion among Aston Villa players and boos from the crowd.
Unai Emery`s team were visibly stunned by the gaffe as the camera panned across the starting eleven.
The Villa Park crowd were equally flabbergasted and started to boo the error.
The embarrassing mistake quickly gained traction online.
Fans online reacted with humor and disbelief, questioning the blunder.
One fan on X said: “Why did they play the Europa League anthem?”
Another commented: “EUROPA LEAGUE ANTHEM ON UCL NIGHT.”
Another remarked: “The players` faces say it all.”
One joked: “Someone`s getting sacked in the morning.”
Another chimed in with disbelief: “How do you mess up this badly?”
Amazon commentator Adrian Clarke described it as an “initial misstep,” noting the music was not what one expects before such a game.
“Stirring music, but not quite what we`ve come to expect as a prelude to games like this,” Clarke commented.
Villa`s DJ attempted to correct the error by belatedly playing the Champions League anthem.
However, the initial awkward moment had already passed.
The anthem mix-up was not the start Emery and his team would have wanted for the match.
It seemed like a bad omen as Achraf Hakimi scored in the 11th minute, extending the visitor`s aggregate lead to 4-1.

Nuno Mendes further dashed Aston Villa`s hopes of reaching the final, scoring in the 28th minute to increase the aggregate lead to 5-1 for the French side.
