Top UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan reportedly faced an unexpected disruption to his travel plans when he was removed from an Armenian Airlines flight. The incident occurred as he was en route to Philadelphia for RAF 08, where he is scheduled to compete against Urijah Faber.
Reports indicate that the altercation at the airport stemmed from violations of flight regulations by members of Tsarukyan’s team. Specifically, one teammate is alleged to have opened a tray table during takeoff, while another was using a mobile phone. Consequently, the 29-year-old fighter and two of his companions were asked to disembark the aircraft.
Adam Zubayraev reported on the situation, stating, “Simply because someone on the team was using their phone while the plane was taking off, and the second person opened a table. It was because of this that Arman and his two friends were kicked off the plane that was heading to the RAF tournament.”
Videos circulating online appear to show Tsarukyan interacting with security personnel and smiling before being escorted off the plane. Following the incident, Tsarukyan described the airline’s service as “rude and unprofessional.”
Despite the setback, Arman Tsarukyan demonstrated resilience and a commitment to his upcoming match. He quickly arranged for a private jet to ensure he would not be late for his engagement in Philadelphia. Shortly after the flight incident, Tsarukyan shared a video of himself boarding a private jet, humorously captioned, “Kicked off commercial, I guess Private it is.” He also playfully announced the launch of “Arman Airlines” on social media.
