Adam Borics is preparing for a highly anticipated featherweight showdown against AJ McKee, scheduled for March 20th at PFL Madrid. For years, ever since McKee held the Bellator championship, MMA enthusiasts have speculated whether Borics would be the next challenger for the title or if this particular fight would pave his way to a championship opportunity.
Borics shared his thoughts on the long-discussed bout finally being confirmed: “It’s been a long time coming. I believe we both had our eyes on each other for a significant period. He was the [Bellator MMA] champion. I was supposed to fight him for the title, but then Patricio Pitbull wanted his rematch. My goal is simply to fight the best, and I consider him to be at the pinnacle of the division right now. When I defeat him, I intend to make a resounding statement.”
The Hungarian fighter also declared that he possesses a “clear vision” for the upcoming fight. When asked how he visualizes the bout unfolding, Borics stated, “I have a distinct vision for this fight, but what more can I say? I am definitely going to make a statement.”
Commenting on the excitement surrounding the contest, which he believes doesn’t require a fabricated rivalry, Borics remarked, “Simply don’t miss this fight, because I think a lot of people are eagerly awaiting it, and it’s going to be a spectacular one. AJ and I are both thrilling fighters. It’s nothing but respect, yet I am coming for a victory, you understand? We’ve met a couple of times. We always exchange a few words, and he has always been respectful. I respect him. He’s a good guy, a good fighter, and this is purely business.”
