Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev secures a first-round rear-naked choke against Brendson Ribeiro at UFC Vegas 115.

At UFC Vegas 115, Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev maintained his undefeated record by securing his seventh first-round finish against Brendson Ribeiro.

Yakhyaev initiated the fight with an aggressive approach, which almost proved costly when Ribeiro landed a sharp right hand. Despite taking another strike while attempting a takedown, Yakhyaev successfully brought Ribeiro to the ground.

Ribeiro tried to counter with a kimura submission attempt, but Yakhyaev swiftly transitioned to his opponent’s back, locking in a rear-naked choke. This forced Ribeiro to tap out in the first round, at the 2:52 mark.

This dominant victory advances Yakhyaev’s professional mixed martial arts record to an unblemished 9-0, with two of those triumphs occurring under the UFC banner. Known as ‘The Hunter,’ Yakhyaev has also boosted his impressive finish rate to 89%.
