Aaron Pico made a strong comeback at UFC 327 with an impressive performance against Patricio Pitbull, which was the featured preliminary bout of the evening.
The initial round saw both fighters engage aggressively. Pico started with strikes to the head, while Pitbull targeted his opponent’s lead leg. Pico managed to secure a takedown in the center of the Octagon, but Pitbull quickly recovered and separated.
Once back on their feet, Pitbull resumed his offensive, mixing up his strikes and landing a sharp jab that caused bleeding from Pico’s nose.
In the second round, Pico began to find his rhythm. He landed a significant uppercut to Pitbull’s body, followed by another takedown. Shortly after, Pico landed a powerful left hand that briefly dropped Pitbull.
As the round neared its end, Pico landed another right hand before taking Pitbull down again and delivering a series of damaging elbows.
Pico continued to control the fight in the third round. Although Pitbull found some success in the clinch, landing knees to the body, it wasn’t enough to shift the momentum significantly on the judges’ scorecards.
Official Result: Aaron Pico defeated Patricio Pitbull by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
